Daniel Carlos

Hey! I'm Daniel Carlos, a third-year undergraduate student at USP & DFMT, advised by Prof. Gustavo Martini Dalpian.

  • Training: Data Scientist
  • Current Position: CNPq INCT Fellow Student at São Paulo University
  • Passion: Data Modeling

Hi, my name is Daniel Carlos Souza Santos and I am a physics student. I am very interested in data modeling, and based on that, I took several courses on the subject during my undergraduate studies. These courses enabled me to develop projects in the fields of Quant, Data, and Statistics. One project that particularly stood out to me was Lab Glither. It allowed me to automate the most labor-intensive aspects of some experimental physics courses I took. Developed in collaboration with other students, it was the first project I coordinated, making it particularly memorable for me. If you are interested, you can check out my GitHub to see what I have been working on. Currently, I am conducting research in material design, aiming to use machine learning to investigate the factors that influence the band-gaps of materials.
